hi !! im bureaumantic and welcome to my website!!!!! this is my central hub for organizing info about me, my projects, and uhhhh other things of that nature! so ya!

my name is a portmanteau between bureaucracy and romantic because i love paperwork and offices as a setting !! that should already say quite a bit about me i think lol

the eternal bureaucracy

this is my primary and longest running worldbuilding project! it has multiple worlds and years' worth of lore and stuff!!

essentially, i have a ton of worlds called the mortal planes! once you die in any of the mortal planes, then you go to the Eternal Bureaucracy, an infinite office afterlife where managers are gods so you can do paperwork for the rest of your afterlife and stuff like that !! uh ya!

among our fine selection of mortal planes we have:

• fantasy ww1 (elstre)
• dollar store scp foundation that exclusively contains fish people (ghelter aquatic desalination corporation)
• The snow makes you forget. (nowhereland)
• space capitalism means you need to go die in The War for shareholders (rostov mining and transportation)
• fantasy ww1.. BUT BETTER! (buzzers!)
• and MANY (a few) MORE!!

this is a long term animation project focused on one of my OCs, joseph maximillian! maxi, who grew up on one of many planets owned by the major galactic corporation Rostov Mining and Transportation, had little choice but to take a Rostov Corporate Army Scholarship to attend college. well, maxi had good grades and stellar unit participation; everyone agreed he would get his desired job in logistics, spend his service commitment in relative safety, and return to a civilian life as quickly as possible.

but when a botched operation on a little known planet in the middle of bum nowhere goes awry, a planet's worth of RCAS cadets are cruelly shanghaied into becoming infantry officers—and in the blink of an eye, all of maxi's career goals go down the drain. forced to adapt quickly, can maxi survive his 4 year service commitment? (probably not)

this is a series about capitalism and war and classism and death and meaning and identity and discrimination and AI and being born into a world you never asked for.
